ISLT 7378 - electronic portfolio development
Course Description: Portfolios are excellent tools assessing student learning over an extended period, but keeping learning artifacts organized and accessible is a challenge. This course will introduce you to electronic portfolios - a digital solution to documenting student achievement in a standards-based curriculum. Website development experience and Instructor consent required.
Reflection: This portfolio has amazed me by reminding me of my journey here at the University of Missouri. It exhibits just how much I have learned and how many new and exciting technologies for which I have been introduced throughout this program. This course has taught me a great deal about reflections and how they can impact learning. Throughout this semester, and the development of my portfolio, I have reflected on my own learning and how I could become a better teacher. This process forced me to review concepts I had learned over the past year as well as ideas I had hoped to use in my own classroom. I am thankful for this because some of these things I might have forgotten. My overall reflection on my previous learning as well as on my previous reflections enables me to become a better teacher. After going through this process, my goal is to implement the ePortfolio in my classroom with my students. I think that this will be a great resource that they can take with them long after graduation.
